As a wave of investment in Sydney’s art spaces flows through the city, renovation projects are putting First Nations art and cultural practices front and center. At Woolloomooloo, Artspace reopened last month after a A$19 million upgrade. Colouring Memory, a vibrant work by Kamilaroi/Gamilaraay artist Dennis Golding adorns the front of the brick building, nodding to both Australia’s colonial and First Nations history.
